Frequently Asked Questions
How is the new ₹9,000 stipend distributed to the intern?
The monthly stipend is split between the government and the company. The corporate partner pays ₹900 (10%) directly out of its CSR funds, and the Government of India deposits the remaining ₹8,100 straight into your Aadhaar-seeded bank account using Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Are engineering and management graduates eligible for this internship?
Yes, graduates with degrees like B.E., B.Tech, B.B.A., and B.C.A. are fully eligible to apply. However, individuals with elite professional qualifications like IIT, IIMS, IISER, CA, CMA, CS, or MBBS are explicitly ineligible for this specific scheme.
What happens at the end of the 12-month internship period?
Upon successful completion, interns receive a government-verified experience and skill certificate. While it does not guarantee a permanent job, top performing interns are frequently retained by the companies or hired by their vendors.
