Frequently Asked Questions
Who is considered a "First-Timer" under this scheme?
Any employee who joins an EPFO-registered establishment after August 1, 2025, and whose provident fund contributions are being received for the very first time in EPFO or an exempted trust.
How will the ₹15,000 benefit be paid out?
It is paid in two installments directly to your Aadhaar-linked bank account via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The first installment is released after 6 months of continuous employment, and the second installment is paid after 12 months, provided you complete the free Financial Literacy Course on the EPFO portal.
What happens if I change jobs or leave before 12 months?
To claim the full incentive, the employee must stay continuously employed with the same employer for the designated 6 and 12-month milestones. Exiting the job early will halt your remaining scheme installments.
